A 33-year-old Summerside woman has been arrested in relation to a break and enter into a rental property on Notre Dame Street on Nov. 10, and police are still searching for a second suspect.

Summerside police said the incident occurred just after 1 p.m. on Saturday. At the time of the incident, the owners of the property, which is undergoing renovations and vacant, arrived to find the woman sitting on the front step.

While speaking with her, the owners could hear someone inside the building and went inside to find the second suspect, who has been identified as 37 year old Joshua Joseph Jesso, fleeing from the building.

Jesso has yet to be located, but he has been formally charged with break and enter.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest and anyone with information on Jesso’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Summerside Police Services.

The woman had also fled from the scene of the break and enter but was arrested just before 4 a.m. Nov. 14 when officers on patrol located her in the Market Street area.

She was released from custody but will be appearing in court at a later date to answer to a charge of break and enter.
