A man who allegedly stole a poppy can and poppies from the Kensington Tim Hortons has been identified.
The poppy display was taken from the front counter of the Tim’s on Broadway Street on Wednesday, Nov. 7, said Kensington Police Chief Lewie Sutherland.
Police obtained photographs of the suspect from the restaurant’s security system and posted them on the department’s Facebook page.
Police were contacted by a member of the Charlottetown Police Service who recognized the man in the photos from his alleged involvement with similar thefts that same week in Charlottetown.
The man will be charged this week and will appear in Summerside court in December.
