CHARLOTTETOWN – The creators of “Stories from the Red Dirt Road” will be the speakers at the third Circle Around the Centre luncheon at 12 p.m. on March 14.
Marlane O’Brien and Margie Carmichael will be in Studio 1 at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown to talk about their experiences in creating the theatrical production.
“Stories from the Red Dirt Road” was adapted by O’Brien from the book “And My Name Is…Stories from The Quilt,” written by Carmichael.
The funny, inspiring, heartfelt piece of four Island stories woven together through song and the red dirt road that joins lives together, will make its world premiere at the 2018 Charlottetown Festival.
Tickets for the luncheon are $25, to be purchased in person at the box office, by phone at (902) 566-1267 (toll-free at 1-800-565-0278) or online through the box office.
A portion of each ticket purchased will be donated to the Circle Around the Centre Fund of the Confederation Centre of the Arts Foundation. This fund was created to commemorate and celebrate notable individuals and special occasions that have a significant importance or connection to the Confederation Centre and its history.

June 13 – A tribute to artist Brian Burke.
