Raising money Nov. 4 for Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church

MONT CARMEL, P.E.I. - A variety show featuring a diverse list of entertainers is set for Sunday, Nov 4, at 7 p.m. in Mont-Carmel.

“Our co-operative is organizing another show to help the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church,” said Edmond Gallant, president of the Coopérative de developpement culturel at patrimonial de Mont-Carmel.

“Our historical church needs a lot of repairs, so we want to do our share to keep it in good condition. We hope that many people will attend our concert so that we can raise a good sum of money to help with its upkeep.”

Artists set to perform include Zita Arsenault, Mona and Albert Arsenault, Jeannette McLellan, Gilbert and Ruth Arsenault, Nick Arsenault, Melvin Arsenault, Robert Doucette and fiddler Albert Arsenault as well as an adult choir. There will also be some step dancers.

There will be a canteen and a 50/50, as well as a bake sale. Admission is $12 for adults, $5 for students and no charge for preschoolers. All of the profits of the evening will be given to Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Church. Mont-Carmel Parish Hall located at 5786 Route 11.
