PORT HILL – Popular Island group Ellis Family Band will make an appearance at King George Hall Friday.
The band, from Summerside, is made up of four bothers and well as honourary brother Greg MacDonald.
They released their first Nashville recorded song “Easy to Love” shortly after their official forming.
In the 1980s, they were CCMA (Canadian Country Music Award) nominees five years running for Group of the Year.
They also garnered a Juno nomination as Country Group of the Year.
After taking a break from performing in the 1990s, the band took to the stage again in 2005 – starting their “second career.”
Over their career, they’ve shared the stage with Reba MacIntyre, The Beach Boys, Paul Brandt, Dirks Bentley, April Wine and more.
Doors open at 7 p.m., tickets are $15. A canteen service will be available.
