Cape Breton brothers sign deal with Bell for their East Coast Kids' show

Herbie Sakalauskas and his sons 10-year-old Lucas, left, and 11-year-old Liam take a selfie at the Skyline Trail in the Cape Breton Highlands while filming an episode of East Coast Kids in July. The episode was a travel piece about the Cabot Trail and one of the videos the family submitted to Bell Canada officials who were interested in airing East Coast Kids. A deal has now been signed and Bell Canada is airing eight episodes of East Coast Kids, hosted by Lucas and Liam, which will be produced in the fall with the help of film/video production company NovaStream. The brothers, who live in Sydney River, hope the deal will lead to more travel episodes. NICOLE SULLIVAN • CAPE BRETON POST
