The Government of P.E.I. celebrated the 2019 International Human Rights Day by announcing its new Diversity and Inclusion Policy.

The policy supports creating an inclusive workplace by recognizing and acknowledging the value of diversity and inclusion and is meant to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all its employees and clients.

The policy was informed by evidenced-based information, which included consultations with external organizations, internal stakeholders and interjurisdictional work in the area.
