Peggy Clinton and Jordan LeClair, along with Michael Richard and Ben Mitsuk, are getting ready for a brand-new adventure.
They’re hosting the Mid-Week Ceilidh at the air conditioned Brackley Beach Community Centre (3330 Brackley Point Rd. Rt. 15) starting Wednesday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m.
Clinton, an Island singer/songwriter, says the ceilidh will uplift people's spirits on the rainiest of days.
“This groups’ love of performing will truly shine through and will leave you with a joyful and happy feeling.”
And group members have the “perfect” qualities.
“We all love to showcase our talents, but we also love getting to know our audiences and keeping them entertained all night long with down home stories, jokes and whatever else might rise up during the show,” says Clinton.
LeClair does an impersonation of Stompin Tom Connors, with his rendition of “Luke’s Guitar”. He will also perform songs by East Coast artists such as Stan Rodgers, Great Big Sea, Jimmy Rankin and others.
“If you’re searching for a ceilidh that has a little bit of everything then I would recommend dropping by,” says LeClair, who recommends bringing visitors along to the summer event.
“I guarantee they will love it.”
General admission is at the door. For more information on the all-ages show, call 902-215-0318 or email [email protected].
