The City of Charlottetown and go!PEI, through the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Foundation, will be offering another year of Jumpstart I Love to Skate.

This free program is an Islandwide, winter activity designed to encourage all children to be more active and learn the fundamentals of skating. Registration for the Jumpstart I Love to Skate Program is now open.

Jumpstart I Love to Skate programs will be offered by community partners in the Town of Stratford and the City of Summerside, as well as various communities covered by the three regional sports and recreation councils. Each program is 45 minutes and runs weekly for a minimum of six weeks. It’s designed for children of all abilities, ages four to 18. Registration is limited to the first 30 individuals.

At a glance:

  • Charlottetown: Thursdays, 3 - 3:45 p.m.,  Nov. 7 to Dec. 12 at the Cody Banks Arena.  
  • Summerside: Sundays, 10:20 - 11 a.m., Nov. 3 to Dec. 8 at Credit Union Place. (FULL)
  • Stratford: Saturdays, 11:50 a.m. - 12:50 p.m., Oct. 26 to Nov. 30 at Pownal Sports Centre. (FULL)
