Public libraries are offering StoryWalks as a fun and safe alternative to regular library programming so families can read and exercise together.

English and French children’s storybooks will now be displayed and rotated across parks in P.E.I. to promote literacy and physical activity.

The P.E.I. Public Library service will be offering the first set of StoryWalks in the Veterans’ Memorial park in Summerside until Wednesday, Nov. 4. The following storybooks being displayed include Fox and Squirrel Make a Friend by Canadian author and illustrator Ruth Ohi and Une visite inattendue by P.E.I. author Anne-Marie Rioux.

This project is made possible with support from TD Bank and the P.E.I. Writers’ Guild.

To find out where StoryWalks will be next week, follow the P.E.I. Public Library Service on social media or visit the website
