Music P.E.I.’s Tiny Island Concert Series continues this evening with live-streamed performances by Kari Lyn Blacquiere (8 p.m. AST) and Catherine MacLellan (8:30 p.m. AST).

Blacquiere, a new artist to the scene, just released her first single April 1 called Hope You Shine. As part of the never-ending Gallant family, she’s just a folk artist trying to be a rockstar.

Listen to Kari Lyn Blacquiere's Hope You Shine:

MacLellan is a Juno award-winning singer/songwriter from P.E.I. She has recently released her seventh studio album, Coyote, and finds balance between writing at home in rural P.E.I. and touring the world.

Sunday April 12, will feature performances by Fraser McCallum (8 p.m.) and Cory Gallant (8:30 p.m.).

McCallum is a member of Racoon Bandit, a P.E.I.-based act with a knack for warm folk-rock arrangements that hide an anthemic bite. Equal parts roots, pysch-rock and indie-pop, the band turns heads across the country every time it releases new music, including 2019's Don't Be Afraid.

Gallant released his first full length album, Welcome To My World, in May of 2019 to rave reviews. He was recently awarded entertainer of the year and new artist of the year at the 2020 PEI music awards and is nominated for country recording of the year at the 2020 ECMAs.

The Tiny Island Concert Series is an initiative in response to COVID-19 and its effects on Island musicians and music industry workers. For more information, visit musicpei.com.

Every Tiny Island Concert will be free for the public at Facebook.com/MusicPEI, although donations will be accepted towards the newly-established Music P.E.I. Crisis Relief Fund.

This fund will be distributed to P.E.I. artists and music industry professionals in need. Details on how to apply to the fund will be released shortly. This project is supported by the province of Prince Edward Island and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
