CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Two P.E.I. singers, Susan Petrie and Frank Whitty, will take the stage for a country music ceilidh on Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the Katherine Hughes Memorial Hall at the Irish Cultural Centre, Charlottetown.

There will be a 50/50 draw at the air conditioned, wheelchair accessible, licensed hall.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the venue, which is located at 582 North River Rd., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Admission at the door. Everyone is welcome.

Petrie has performed in many ceilidhs, as well as for benefits and at seniors' homes on Prince Edward Island.

She is well-known for her selection of music that includes songs performed by the late Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and the late Rita MacNeill.

Petrie also has a CD entitled A Smile And A Song.

In addition, Petrie is a Walmart Greeter and has greeted many customers at Christmas with her songs.

She was selected in 2018 as the National Walmart Greeter for Canada.

Whitty is a versatile singer, performing the music of the late George Jones, Merle Haggard and other great singers of the country music world.

He has performed at many ceilidhs and benefits and at one time had his own band.

In addition, Whitty has two CDs, The Choices I've Made and Real Country.
