Lt.-Gov. Antoinette Perry was a recent guest at the Farmers Bank of Rustico Museum & Doucet House.
After a luncheon of traditional Acadian food, she was presented with the Acadian Blanket by president, Arnold Smith and the summer student staff. The blanket was designed to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the French and Acadian presence on Prince Edward Island as a fundraiser for the Farmers Bank Museum.
The blankets were made by MacAusland’s Woollen Mills of Bloomfield.
