SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — This year, the skies will light up over Prince County Hospital (PCH) on Dec. 4 for the 25th annual Lights for Life celebration.

During November, gifts are made to the PCH Foundation in honour and in memory of loved ones with all funds going toward medical equipment for the hospital, including much-needed cardiac monitors and IV pumps.

Lights for Life is a big part of how the PCH Foundation hopes to reach its goal of $2.2 million this year.

Gift dedication amounts begin at $10, and all donations received before Nov. 23 at noon will be entered into the keepsake book.

The community is invited to join the celebration at the PCH on Dec. 4, 6:30 p.m., for the annual lighting ceremony where the entire front of the hospital is illuminated with lights and displays choreographed to music.

For the 12th year, the foundation welcomes the Credit Unions of Prince County as the presenting sponsors.

Heather Matheson, PCH Foundation managing director, said the event wouldn’t be possible without the many sponsors and supporters.

“Supporters like the Credit Unions and SaltWire Network (publisher of The Guardian and Journal Pioneer) really make an impact.”

Donors can visit pchcare.com for further information. Donations are also accepted at the foundation office in the hospital lobby or by calling 902-432-2547.
