Martha Spirituality Centre in Charlottetown reopens virtually

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Martha Spirituality Centre will not be offering programs at SDU Place but will offer some programs by Zoom or in alternate spaces while other programs have been delayed till 2021.

The last three sessions of the book study, Your Sorrow is My Sorrow, will be offered by Zoom on Monday afternoons of Oct. 5, 19 and 26, 1:30-3:00 p.m. 

Christian meditation sessions will resume on Sept. 15 by Zoom and interested persons can contact us for information to join on Tuesday mornings from 10-10:40 a.m.  When someone registers, he/she will receive an information email on the process used and how to join. There will no fee this semester.

Women’s group with Lynn DeLong will have three presentations by Zoom on Mondays of Nov. 2, 16, 30, 6:30-8 p.m., based on the article, Hope, Gratitude and Solidarity; A Message to Canadians from Religious Leaders in Canada in response to the COVID pandemic. The fee is $20, and women need to register by emailing [email protected]. Group is limited in number so register soon. 

The video series on grief that began in March will continue in 2021, and the video series on the Benevolent Universe that began in March will continue in 2021. Those registered will be contacted by their facilitators.

The book study, What’s in the Way is the Way, will be facilitated by Anne Gillis and Heather Carver in the home of Anne Gillis in Charlottetown on Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. to noon, from Oct. 21- Dec. 2. Many have pre-registered for this study group last spring but due to COVID restrictions, only 11 persons can be accommodated in this home. Original registrants will be contacted with a process to re-apply.
