SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — By Rebecca Boulter
Our popular weekly Family Story Time program will have two special guests in November. Children ages 3-5 and their families are invited to join us on Nov. 21 at 10:30 a.m. for storytime with a snowplow driver. We will enjoy some snow-themed stories and check out a real snowplow. On Thursday, Nov. 28, at 10:30 a.m. we will be joined by a local optometrist for stories, activities and to learn more about our eyes.
We will be holding an adult craft program Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. and repeated at 6 p.m. This month we will be creating a holiday-inspired craft. Please call the library at 902-436-7323 to register for the program so we can be sure to have enough supplies for all participants.
Seniors are invited to visit the library on Nov. 20 at 1:30 p.m. for a game of crokinole. Learn the ins and outs of this popular tabletop game and compete to be the crokinole champion. Experienced players are welcome to share their tips and tricks with participants just discovering this fun game.
Our English Corner for Newcomers meets on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. Newcomers are welcome to practice their language skills and make new friends in this relaxed setting. Participants at all skill levels are welcome.
