ABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. — The Village musical acadien will present four Christmas activities as part of Le Festival des Fêtes (the Holiday Festival) this year in Abram-Village.

The first activity features Josée Boudreau and the group Maz, who will present their Christmas show on Sunday at 2 p.m. Boudreau started her career with Disney Cruise Line and has worked for many musical theatre companies across Canada. She is originally from New Brunswick but has lived in Mont-Carmel for several years with her husband, Mathieu Gallant, and her two children. She also performed the role of Evangeline in the play Evangeline at the Confederation Centre of the Arts, as well as a role in Mamma Mia.

The Maz (Mazerolle) group is made up of herself and eight members of her family from New Brunswick.

The second activity is the Christmas dinner theatre, which will present Le Prix de Noël (The Price of Christmas), written and directed by Eileen Pendergast. This story tells how Mr. Basil (Blair Arsenault) found a convenient way to prepare for the holidays. He is not interested in the activity of collecting food in order to collect provisions for people in need. His wife, Aline (Angela Pendergast-Arsenault), sees the preparations in a different way, and with several others (Michael, Robert, David and Monique Pendergast), she is part of a group of carollers who will tour the surroundings while singing Christmas carols. Phil (Andy Doucette), Basil's nephew, helps his uncle solve an unexpected problem. This dinner theatre will be presented Dec. 2, 3 and 5 at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

The third activity is the Christmas kitchen party, which will take place on Dec. 11 at 8 p.m., featuring Nick Arsenault and his musicians, Allan Gallant, Shane Arsenault and Peter Arsenault, who will perform Christmas songs that will bring back fond memories of the holidays.

Finally, the traditional Christmas concert featuring Caroline Bernard, Marcella Richard, Keelin Wedge, Louise Arsenault, Wayne Robichaud and Rémi Arsenault, will be held Dec. 19-20, 7 p.m. (storm date: Dec. 21). Guests will also be invited to share the stage.

All activities will take place at the Village musical acadien in Abram-Village. It is recommended that tickets be purchased online at villagemusical.ca. Security measures relating to COVID-19 will be put in place and respected.
