Kidney Month raises awareness in P.E.I.

March is Kidney Month, a global awareness campaign aimed at increasing awareness of the importance of kidneys to good health and to reduce the impact of kidney disease and its associated problems. Volunteers, staff and board members from the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Atlantic branch, as well as the management team from the provincial renal unit gathered recently at the lieutenant-governor’s residence in Charlottetown to mark World Kidney Day, which is held annually on March 12.
