Alberton Recreation hosted a winter carnival Islander Day weekend, Feb. 13 to 15, with events all over town for all ages.
Weekend events included a family car rally won by Leanne, Allan and Aleisha Meggison in 57 minutes.
A pickleball doubles tournament was held at Alberton Elementary School and was won by Samantha Noye and Katie Hardy.
A “Find the Fox” scavenger hunt began with a list of clues that, when solved, revealed the location of the fox, hidden somewhere in town.
The winners were Charlee, Ethan and Addison Rafuse with the help or parents Lisa Gallant-Rafuse and Kyle Rafuse.
A free skate at the fire hall’s outdoor rink was jazzed up with lights and music with hot chocolate and hotdogs for all who attended.
There was hot chocolate at a community snowshoe event as well. A children’s sports night was fully booked and the town also hosted two movie nights.
An escape room adventure was held at the Alberton Town Hall and was open to teams of two.
Folks looking to chill joined an Art After Dark session and two free yoga classes were open for everyone.
On Monday, horse and sleigh rides started in the field behind the Home Hardware.
