Charlottetown Rural High School

Representatives from Holland College will be at Charlottetown Rural on Nov. 17 at 10:30 a.m. to make a presentation to Grade 12 students.

All students who are interested in learning more about Holland College programs, scholarships and the admission process are encouraged to attend. Students must sign up in student services no later than Nov. 16.


Kinkora Regional High School

There are no classes on Nov. 11 due to Remembrance Day and no classes Nov. 12-13 because of the annual P.E.I. Teachers' Federation (PEITF) convention.

There will be a Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) presentation on Nov. 18.

Parent-teacher interviews are the evening of Nov. 19 and the morning of Nov. 20. Parents can schedule interviews online or call the school. For anyone who is more comfortable with a phone interview, that can be arranged.

The ADP students will be taking part in a virtual open house on Nov. 16 in the KRHS library with the Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture. The Grade 12 ADP students will be taking part in first aid training on Dec. 1 in the KRHS library with John Mitchell. 

Grad photos will be taken on Nov. 13 at Heckbert’s Photography in Summerside. 


Colonel Gray High School

There will be no classes for students on Nov. 11 (Remembraance Day) or Nov. 12-13 (PEITF annual convention).

Every Day 2, there’s math and science help for students in the library conference room at lunch time.

Reserve Nov. 19 (6:30-9 p.m.) and Nov. 20 (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) for parent-teacher interviews.

Mid-semester report cards will be sent home with students on Nov. 19.

The Christmas Craft Fair has been cancelled for 2020, but there’s a new fundraising project to support the band. For every poinsettia sold online, at a special discounted price, VanKampens will make a donation to the Colonel Gray Music Department. Use this link to place an order.

The High School Reports feature runs in The Guardian on Mondays during the school year. All Island high schools are welcome to send in contributions. However, before doing so, either a student or staff member must contact Carolyn Drake at 902-629-6000, ext. 6036 for information on content and deadlines.
