K.R.H.S. parent council
Our next Parent Council meeting is Tues., Nov. 26 at 6 p.m. All parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend! 
 
Thank you
A huge thank you to the staff, students, parents, grandparents, and community members who volunteered at the Annual Blazer Beef Supper on Oct. 26. We sold 400 meals and it was a huge success. All your hard work and support is so appreciated! Special thanks to Karen Duffy, winner of the 50/50, for donating it back.

Senior Women’s Volleyball – Congratulations on winning gold at the provincials on Nov. 2.

Intermediate Girls’ Volleyball - Congratulations on winning bronze at the Provincials on Nov. 5.
 
2020 Grad News
Grad photos will take place on Friday, Nov. 15 at Heckbert’s Photography in Summerside.  
 
Envirothon
Five K.R.H.S. students competed in the P.E.I. Envirothon on Oct. 25 & 26 this year at Camp Keir. The Blazer team included Victoria Arsenault, Victoria Corney, Maggie Gaudet, Ryley MacWilliams, & Maëli Denoual. The Envirothon is a long-running environmental competition which allows students to compete with teams from other schools. Many thanks to teacher adviser Kevin Bustard.

Remembrance Day Contest
The Royal Canadian Legion Borden-Carleton Branch #10 is inviting students to enter the Annual Remembrance Day Poster & Literary Contest. Grade 9 falls under the intermediate category while Grades 10 to 12 is senior. Students may submit poetry, essays, black & white posters and colour posters. Deadline is Nov. 13. Entry forms are available in the K.R.H.S. Library. 
 
Student Council Halloween News
We had lots of fun events here at K.R.H.S. to celebrate Halloween.

Congratulations to the winners of the Blood Chug on Oct. 29, Leaman Ross & Todd DesRoches, and to the winners of the Mummy Wrap on Oct. 30, Charlotte Linkletter, Annalisa Wiebe, & Katie Affleck. We also had treats for all students on Oct. 31 and a ‘pumpkin under your desk’ game on Oct. 28. 

Our Halloween Dress-Up Day was on Oct. 31. The top two best-dressed in each grade were:

Grade 9 – Will Wood (Pennywise) and Emily Hunter (Plague Doctor)
Grade 10 – Alex Gaudet (Occult Investigator) and Mia-Grace Payne (Inmate)
Grade 11 – Abby MacLeod (The Bone Collector) and Grace Smith (Cheshire Cat)
Grade 12 – Mason Paynter (Julius Caesar) and Mark MacCormack (Bandwagon King)

Best dressed duo in the school – Lilly Reeves & Ethan Somers (Lilo & Stitch) 
Best dressed trio in the school – Maura Duffy, Jessica Larsen & Shaelynn McCardle (Dunkin’ Donuts)
Best dressed group of four or more in the school – Katie Affleck, Abi Hamilton, Amanda Kingman, Charlotte Linkletter, Kaitlyn Silliker, & Annalisa Wiebe (Scuba divers).

Honourable mention went to Kevin Bustard & Leanne Arsenault (Sonny & Cher), Lesley Cousins (Mary Poppins), & Malcolm Ross (Bandit).

Thanks to all who showed some Halloween spirit and dressed up.
