Forte Men’s Choir, under the direction of Margot Rejskind, will present its concert, “A Very Forte Christmas!”, on Dec. 15 in Summerside and Dec. 22 in Charlottetown.

The concert will feature traditional Christmas carols, fun twists on old favourites, gorgeous lesser-known carols, sing-alongs and readings, including the now-traditional reading of “Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus” all wrapped up in the warm sound of male voices.

The choir also welcomes special guest artists Jacqueline Sorensen Young on piano and Madeline Kapp MacDonald on violin.

Forte was formed in 2015, with the vision of bringing together male singers of all ages to make music at the highest possible level and to have fun doing it. Since then the choir has gained a reputation for combining a thrilling sound with expressive interpretation. The membership includes experienced amateur singers, music students and men who are new to singing in an ensemble.

“A Very Forte Christmas” will be performed on  Dec. 15, 2:30 p.m., at Summerside Presbyterian Church in Summerside and on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2:30 p.m., at The Kirk of St. James in Charlottetown.

Admission for each concert is $15 at the door.
