CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. —

Hospice P.E.I. has announced the cancellation of it is signature event, Dancing With The Stars 2020.

After having thorough discussions with staff, dancing pros and stars and the directives issued from the provincial government, the decision was made regarding what would’ve been the ninth annual event, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17.

“The ramifications from postponing our largest fundraising event will be significant, but our concern for the well-being and safety of all in involved and the people of Prince Edward Island have been and will continue to be are number one priority,” says a hospice release.

The success of Dancing With The Stars event has been largely in part due to the kindness and dedication of the community, including the significant time that stars commit, the endless resources that the pros provide and the generosity shown by donors who attend, vote and donate.

Hospice P.E.I. is already looking forward to the event in 2021. Meanwhile, it says that financial donations can easily be done by visiting www.hospicepei.com or by contacting the office at 902-368-4498.
