SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — Harbourfront Theatre will bring Classic Albums Live: CCR’s “Green River” to Summerside on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Classic Albums Live presents skilled musicians who recreate the greatest albums of the 60’s and 70’s live on stage – note for note, cut for cut. There are no costumes or look-alike theatrics at these rock recitals. Instead, the group claims to strive for pure musicianship above all else, while they share the songs that shaped a generation.
“This is a really talented group of musicians,” says Harbourfront Theatre’s executive director.
“Whenever we welcome Classic Albums Live to our stage they always put on an incredible show,” says Kieran Keller.
The Classic Albums Live band has played at Harbourfront Theatre many times over the years. Having performed such albums as the Eagles’ iconic “Hotel California”, Rush’s popular “2112” and Supertramp’s “Breakfast in America.”
For the Nov. 13 show, the group is set to perform CCR’s “Green River” in its entirety.
Green River was released in 1969 and was Creedence Clearwater Revival’s third studio album. Its track list features such hits as “Bad Moon Rising” and the title track ‘Green River.” In addition, Classic Albums Live will perform some of CCR’s greatest hits.
