CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The crew from the Ceilidh in the City is reuniting for one final encore performace this evening in Charlottetown.
For the past nine years, this popular summer concert series has come back every December to celebrate the season and share some favourite Christmas carols and heartwarming stories.
This year's show will see three special musical guest joining in for the celebrations. Multi-instrumentalist and singer Keelin Wedge will be back, fresh off a tour, and will be joining the band for the night as well as sharing in the singing.
Jolee Patkai and Marcella Richard will also be joining in adding back up harmonies and many solo selections as well. These two performers assisted in the recent production of "A Night to Remember", which brought the message of rememberance across the Island.
Both are musicians who have the ability to just jump in and add the sweetest harmony for any song selection and incredible musicians.
They will be joining the hosts of the ceilidh, Kendall Docherty, Peter Burke, Heartz Godkin and Brian Knox, for what promises to be a great old-time Christmas concert. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. showtime.
There will be a special 50/50 draw with proceeds being donated to the Be a Santa to a Senior Program. As in years past, there will be a collection of new unwrapped toys for the Salvation Army.
The canteen and bar will be open with all kinds of seasonal treats available.
