Parents or families caring for adults with intellectual disability have a chance to connect and learn with workshops from the P.E.I. Association for Community Living.
“Our Families, Our Futures: Seniors Caring for an Adult Daughter or Son with an Intellectual Disability” will be offered across P.E.I. and cover a wide range of subjects that care-givers are faced with as their family grows older.
The P.E.I. Association for Community Living recognized senior parents and associate families are worried for the futures of themselves and their loved ones, so they developed the workshops to help address these concerns.
The workshops are free, and lunch is provided, registration is required.
To register, contact Grace at [email protected] or 902-394-7555
Individuals are asked to say which workshop they’ll attend; how many will be attending and whether financial assistance is required.
The PEIACL has subsidies available for seniors who need assistance with transportation or needs to hire respite care in order to attend the workshop.
