Multiple award-winning singer/songwriter, John Gracie is thrilled to be releasing his 14th album this evening at his Christmas concert at Trinity United Church, presented by the City of Charlottetown as part of Wintertide Celebrations.

Free tickets were available in advance only from the city.

The album is Gracie’s third Christmas album and is titled “Christmas Time is Here, Swing into Christmas with John Gracie featuring Samantha Gracie”. This is also Gracie’s third swing jazz album and he believes that this is the where his musical journey has been taking him.

Since he was a boy he’s been searching for the type of music that suits him best. He has performed and recorded Celtic, folk, country, Americana and East Coast.

“Finally, I have found where my passion is. It’s swing. I so enjoy singing the great swing standards and want to continue to explore where this genre will take me.”

The new Christmas album is filled with holiday favourites that have the swing treatment. The first single to go to radio is an upbeat, fun version of “Let It Snow”.

Gracie also joins his daughter, Toronto-based actress/singer/songwriter, Samantha, on a duet of “Some Other Time”.

Samantha also performs “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve” on the new album, which will be on sale at the concert.
