Mathematics will be the theme for the 2020 Education Award offered by Education 20/20.
The award, in the amount of $2,500, is focused on numeracy, which is considered the core of math skills used in everyday life.
The award is intended to support research or a project on innovative approaches to helping Islanders improve their numeracy skills.
Applications will be accepted from all Islanders and is open to all levels of the P.E.I.’s public education system.
The purpose of the education award changes from year to year.
The first two awards recognized engagement, the third recognized the application of technology throughout a school and the last award recognized a program to demystify mathematics.
