4-H Canada announces P.E.I.’s 2019 John Deere scholarship winner

Fifteen 4-H members from across Canada received $1,000 each towards their post-secondary education, thanks to the support of John Deere Canada.

Fiona Nicholson was the P.E.I. winner of the scholarship.

“We received an impressive variety of applications from across Canada, and we are continually inspired by their quality each year,” said Shannon Benner, 4-H Canada CEO. 

“Opportunities such as this scholarship greatly support 4-H Canada’s mission to empower youth to be responsible, caring and contributing leaders that affect positive change in the world around them.”

4-H Canada and its scholarship partners are committed to providing youth with tools and guidance to lay the foundation for a life-long love of learning. 4-H continues to focus on the spirit of leadership, responsibility and sense of community.

“John Deere Canada would like to congratulate each of the 15 recipients across Canada who have been selected to receive a scholarship towards their 2019 post-secondary education,” said Quaylan Wilson, marketing promotion advisor at John Deere Canada. 

“Future advancements in the agriculture industry are in the hands of Canada’s youth and John Deere Canada is always excited to invest and support the future community and business leaders. To all recipients – congratulations and good luck in the upcoming school year!”
