SYDNEY, N.S. — Two-year-old Georgia Francis and her mother Carolann Battiste have a play date at the McConnell Library in Sydney on Thursday.
Every Thursday, Battiste takes her daughter to the library to read books, play with the toys and visit the fish, something Battiste said Georgia loves.
"It's our way to get out," said Battiste, who lives in Sydney. "And it's a way to get Georgia interacting with everyone because at a certain time a lot of people come here. It's a very welcoming environment. Very homey and a great place for her to learn. I love it here."
