Prince William loves chicken fried or otherwise — and that’s good for business for KFC.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, were in London to meet some of the finalists of Middleton’s Hold Still photo project, when William had a little fun. He peered into a KFC restaurant, thrilling customers inside.

KFC’s social media team didn’t waste long in taking to Twitter to take advantage of the situation. One post said: “William whispered quietly to himself: ‘Oh, I just can’t wait to be wing.'” Another said cheekily: “I’m sad I didn’t call him His Royal Thighness in the main tweet tbh.”

It’s apparently well-known that the future king is a big fan of chicken. Roasted chicken is supposed to be a particular favourite and he’s championed KFC rival Nando’s in the past.
