Legacy, in the deep south end of Calgary, was designed by WestCreek Developments to offer a wide range of housing types framed by the great outdoors, says Kalida Manarin, marketing manager at WestCreek.

“One of the biggest features of the community is the environmental reserve. With walking paths, parks, picnic and recreation areas, the Pine Creek Valley to the south includes 300 acres of protected environmental reserve,” says Manarin. “This means the land can never be altered or developed, ensuring the reserve remains a beautiful part of the community forever. “Legacy Corner and Legacy Village feature a wide range of options for dining and shopping, as well as local services such as dental and medical. Some of the current tenants include Tim Hortons, Petro Can, Little Caesars, Legacy Veterinary Clinic and Legacy Chiropractic,” says Manarin. “A short trip north on Macleod Trail is Shawnessy Village Shopping Centre with a variety of grocery stores, retailers and entertainment, and Stoney Trail will take you to the 130th Avenue South Trail Crossing Shopping Centre, as well as Seton.”

On Stoney Trail westbound, there are only two stop lights between you and Kananaskis Country, Canmore and Banff.

“Legacy’s location makes it perfect for experiencing some peace and serenity away from the busy city,” says Manarin. “With one main road into the community, 210 Avenue southwest, Legacy is not a drive-through community, meaning that it is a destination community, with local traffic only.”
