The P.E.I. Festival of Wines returns to the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown this week for three nights of wine tastings, culinary pairings and exclusive wine boutique shopping.

The festival will feature grand tasting events, May 24-25.

Returning after a successful inaugural year in 2018, the Prestige tasting event, which includes more than 375 wines from around the world, will take place May 23. The event also includes Terroir Tastings and live music by Atlantic String Machine. With a very limited number of tickets available for Prestige, advance purchase is recommended.

Those in search of an up-close-and-personal wine tasting and culinary experience can choose from a number of winemakers’ dinners taking place the week of the festival.

Hosted by some of the Island’s finest restaurants, including Dalvay-by-the-Sea and Red Shores’ Top of the Park restaurant, the dinners offer a unique taste experience featuring a curated four- or five-course menu and selected wine pairings.

This year’s featured wine region is Germany. However, the festival will also showcase wines from around the world as well as locally-inspired foods.

Attendees and members of the public will be able to purchase festival wines at the on-site boutique throughout the weekend, most of which are not typically available for purchase in P.E.I. liquor stores.
