Cape Breton folk group Villages will be playing a special Christmas show at St. Paul’s Church in Charlottetown on Saturday, Dec. 15.

Villages will be playing a mix of its traditional-based original tunes along with some jolly seasonal fare.

Heavily influenced by the spirit of the Maritimes this four-piece group is making a name for itself everywhere it plays. The group’s most recent album, “Hymn After Hymn”, which was produced by Joel Plaskett, has quickly become an East Coast classic.

"This will be a great show to get you in the mood for Christmas," says promoter Pat Deighan.

"The sweet harmonies and tight musicianship from Villages combined with the amazing St. Paul’s Church will make for a nice evening."

Tickets are available at www.trailside.ca, Back Alley Music or by calling 902-394-3626. Doors open at 7 p.m. with music starting at 8 p.m. This is an all-ages concert so bring the whole family. St. Paul’s Church is located at 101 Prince St.
