CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - After what has already been a very long winter, this Sunday afternoon's instalment of the QEH winter fundraising concert series promises to deliver a heaping helping of laughs and lively music to chase away the winter blahs.

Presented by Cardigan Bearing and Steel and Cardigan Feed Services, concert hosts Treble with Girls welcome storyteller Dennis King to their stage at the Assumption Parish Centre in Stratford beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Well-known across the Island for his political opinions, as a local hockey and baseball enthusiast, and member of the highly acclaimed Four Tellers, Dennis King has travelled from one tip of the province to the other brining smiles, belly laughs and likely the odd friendly argument. Growing up in Georgetown, King has honed his craft of storytelling over the years and his childhood experiences and community certainly provided him with much fodder for his tales. The candidate for the provincial PC party leadership is looking forward to taking a break from his campaigning to share some laughs in support of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.

The family-friendly afternoon of music and stories also includes door prizes, a 50/50 draw and a homemade lunch served at intermission. All ages are welcome with admission by cash only at the door. The Assumption Parish Centre is located at 145 Stratford Road, the big blue church in Stratford.
