The RCMP on the Island is recruiting young Canadians for the 2018-2019 National Youth Advisory Committee (NYAC) to provide youth with a chance to be part of the conversation in policing.
The purpose of this committee is to ensure the voice of Canadian youth is represented within the RCMP, and to assist with developing effective youth strategies and initiatives across the country.
Youth between the ages of 13 and 18 or 18-21 are eligible to apply.
By getting involved, participants will:
- Help inform and improve RCMP youth strategies;
- Interact with youth from across Canada and gain incredible insight;
- Develop critical thinking skills by answering discussion questions and exchanging views regarding current topics;
- Obtain a reference letter and 20 community service hours.
Check out the RCMP website for testimonials of youth that have participated in the past.
Deadline is Sept. 7. For more information and to request an application please e-mail RCMP.Youth-Jeunesse.GRC@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
