School event supports IWK Children’s Hospital
Bloomfield Elementary School Grade 4 student Landon Smith puts the finishing touches to his Heart-a-Tree.
The school is hosting its eighth annual Heart Art Day, an awareness and fundraising event for the IWK Children’s Hospital, on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
Every classroom has selected a different heart-themed art project to complete for the Heart Art Day assembly that gets underway at 1 p.m.
Parents and special guests have been invited to the school and they can obtain a student art piece in exchange for a donation to the IWK Children’s Hospital in memory of student Kameron Cooke.
Proceeds from a prize basket draw and sales of candygrams and cookies will be added to the donation.
