SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - A Saturday of fun-filled family events is set for Oct. 13, with the seventh annual Naturefest celebration.
Organized by the City of Summerside’s department of community services, the events will be held at Heather Moyse Park, located off of Ottawa Street.
There will be free activities and the Lion’s Club will also host a fundraiser barbecue.
“Naturefest is a great event to bring our community together during the fall season. There are so many exciting activities and we continue to see more families attend each year,” said JP Desrosiers, director of community services for the City of Summerside.
“As we put the final touches on this year’s edition of Naturefest staff feel this will be our best yet. With many new activates being planned.”
Each year new activities are added the event’s line-up and this year is no different. It will feature an agility dog show, pony rides, bouncy inflatables, magic shows and a meet and greet with the 2018-2019 Summerside Western Capitals hockey team. There will also be wagon rides, pumpkin painting and more.
Naturefest runs from 1 to 4 p.m., on Oct.13.
