Summerside Lobster Carnival organizers have hooked another sponsor for the 2018 edition of the event.

For seventy-five years Grant Thorton  has held a prominent place in the Island business community as providers of accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to individuals, businesses and organizations. The Lobster Carnival proved a perfect sponsorship fit for Grant Thornton as many of their clients are involved with the lobster fishery and Grant Thornton places a heavy emphasis on supporting community.

Matt Totten, Principal with Grant Thornton in Summerside, says, “The Summerside Lobster Carnival has long been a premier event for the community and is such great family fun, which is why we wanted to provide our support.”

Grant Thornton will sponsor the “Lobster in the Pot” taste testing event at the community barbeque on the opening night of the carnival, Thursday, July 12th. Lobster fishers will be cooking up lobster in a large pot for people to see how the experts do the job. Volunteers from Grant Thornton staff will serve up samples for the public to try.
