** The Toronto Stock Exchange's TSX falls 0.14 percent to 17,572.28 

** Leading the index were Bombardier Inc , up 5.3%, Constellation Software Inc , up 3.6%, and Pan American Silver Corp , higher by 3.2%.

** Lagging shares were Ballard Power Systems Inc , down 12.1%, Spin Master Corp, down 7.1%, and First Quantum Minerals Ltd, lower by 6.4%.

** On the TSX 111 issues rose and 122 fell as a 0.9-to-1 ratio favored decliners. There were 35 new highs and 1 new low, with total volume of 240.6 million shares.

** The most heavily traded shares by volume were Bombardier Inc , Aurora Cannabis Inc  and Encana Corp.

** The TSX's energy group  fell 2.02 points, or 1.4%, while the financials sector slipped 1.05 points, or 0.3%.

** West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 0.5%, or $0.29, to $58.25 a barrel. Brent crude  fell 1.03% , or $0.67, to $64.53 [O/R]

** The TSX is up 3% for the year.
