Nova Scotia gas prices take another big drop

Gas prices took another big drop overnight with the provincial regulator's weekly adjustment.

The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board has lowered the minimum price for a litre of regular self-servce gas by 7.5 cents. It now sells for as low as 64.1 cents in the Halifax area and is slightly more expensive in other zones in the province.

Gas prices have been cut by over 40 cents a litre since the beginning of March.

The cost of diesel increased to 84 cents, a hike of 1.2 cents.

At the end of March 2019, gas in Halifax was selling for 121.7 cents a litre — almost twice what it would cost to fill your tank today.
