RDÉE P.E.I. is looking for four bilingual Island businesses to participate in a sales mission in Montreal and Quebec City this April.

“They’ll be joining the four businesses that had participated in a previous mission last fall and who will be retutning this spring to finalize sales agreements and to revisit other potential clients,” said Robert Maddix, entrepreneurial development officer with RDÉE P.E.I.

These businesses include Kaneshii Vinyl Press, Navigate Food Safety, Atlantic Safety Wear and Charlottetown Dryer Balls.

Maddix said participating businesses must have a product or service that is ready or almost ready to by shipped and sold to the Montreal marketplace. The only other criteria is the company must have the ability to interact in French with potential buyers.

Businesses accepted for the mission will be contacted by a consultant who will gather in-depth details about the products or services to be sold. The consultant will then fix meetings for each Island participant with a minimum of eight potential buyers.

“There is really no limit to the type of product that you can sell during these sales missions,” said Maddix.

Participants will have to pay 60 per cent of the lodging and transportation costs (between $750 and $850). All other costs will be covered.

All previous sales missions have generated sales for the majority of participating businesses.

“Generally, participants return home with an average of $25,000 in sales – which is a very good return on their investment,” said Maddix.

The mission will run from April 29 to May 3.

All those interested in participating are urged to contact Maddix at 902-370-7333 Ext. 403 or [email protected].
