West Prince Chamber of Commerce plans 2019 golf tournament for Sept. 13

ST. FELIX, P.E.I. — Area businesses are being encouraged to enter teams in the West Prince Chamber of Commerce’s third annual golf tournament.

The nine-hole tournament, utilizing a best ball format, will be held at the St. Felix Golf Course on Friday, Sept. 13. Play starts at 1 p.m. 

Up to 18 teams can be accommodated.

Title sponsors are Tignish and Evangeline-Central Credit Unions. There are also several other sponsors including hole sponsors. There will be a putting contest and prizes for longest drive and closest to the hole as well as a chance at winning a $10,000 cash prize for sinking a hole-in-one. Trivia contest, oyster shucking, and a barbecue are also included in the entry fee.

West Prince Chamber of Commerce executive director, Tammy Rix said organizers are encouraging area businesses to enter teams in the fun event and are hoping to attract a greater turnout of female golfers. 

Entries can be called to Tammy at 902-853-3616, and online entries are also accepted.
