Atlantic Superstore presented a gift of $260,000 to the IWK Foundation on Oct. 16. More than $24,000 of this amount was raised in P.E.I.
“When you have cancer, some days just aren’t fun, but it’s pretty cool to be able to hang out with people who care about making kids like me feel better,” said 8-year-old patient Jeric Mullins.
Jeric was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia just over two years ago and is getting lots of help at the IWK.
The money from the “Give a Little, Help a Lot” campaign will be used for things like surgical equipment, inpatient smart beds, patient monitors and trauma carts.
“Simply put, the IWK would not be the incredible resource that it is for Maritime women and children without the generous support of organizations like Atlantic Superstore whose team and customers are so passionate about giving back,” said Keely Wallace, manager of community and corporate giving at the IWK Foundation.
