CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A new skateboard shop opened its doors in Charlottetown on Friday.

Town City, owned by Charlottetown native Ryan Greeley, not only sell boards, clothing and footwear but also will buy into a way of life.

“The idea for me is to work with the skate community that is already here to kind of build (on) what is already happening," Greeley told The Guardian this spring.

“We’ll definitely be a store that is lifestyle driven."

T.J. Doyle, 24, was one of the many customers that came out for the store's opening.

Doyle, who has been skateboarding for 11 years, says the store is a welcome addition to the capital city.

"It's awesome," he says.

"It's what Charlottetown really needs. It's going to bring all the (skateboard) kids together.''

Town City is located at 155 Queet St.:
