Chris Keevill will be the next president and chief executive officer at Atlantic Lottery.

Keevill has more than 20 years of experience in digital transformation, innovation, marketing and media at regional, national and international levels, according to a news release.

He will officially join Atlantic Lottery in Moncton on May 1.

“It is an honour to be selected to lead the outstanding team of employees at Atlantic Lottery who are firmly committed to delivering on the corporation’s core strategy of growing its player base, improving player experience in a digital world and modernizing the corporation’s capabilities to deepen its relationships with players,” Keevill said in the release.

“These key strategic business areas are clearly underlined by a firm commitment to social responsibility.”

Keevill is leaving his role as CEO of Colour, a creative-digital agency.

He is taking over from Brent Scrimshaw, who has served as president and CEO of Atlantic Lottery since 2011 and will retire with 13 years of service to the organization.

Atlantic Lottery’s board of directors was responsible for selecting and appointing the president and CEO, according to the release.

Keevil split his time among Colour offices in Halifax, Toronto and New York. Before joining Colour in 2002, he was president of Aliant Broadband and, before that, chief operating officer at FloNetwork, an ad-tech company that was acquired by DoubleClick.

He has a BBA from Acadia University and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at Western University.
