SUMMERSIDE – The East Prince Wildcats had a strong team effort in defeating the Tyne Valley Tornadoes 7-1 recently.
The P.E.I. Bantam A Female Hockey League game was played at Credit Union Place.
Jenna Clow led the East Prince offence scoring a hat trick. Charlotte Murray (1-1), Keira Rogers (1-1), Brinley Gallant and Lilly Reeves also scored for the Wildcats. Jeanna Pickering, Katie Acorn, Tori MacPhee, Claire Keough, Jessica Larsen, Jill Lockerby and Hannah Silliker added assists.
Madelyne Powers, assisted by Madison Annand and Madison Powers, netted the Tyne Valley goal.
Maggie Gaudet had a solid game to earn the goaltending win.
This was the final regular season game for both teams. East Prince hosts the bantam female A provincials this weekend, with round-robin and semifinal games being played Friday and Saturday at the South Shore Actiplex in Crapaud. The championship game will be played at the Pownal Sports Centre on Sunday.
