Western defeats Kings County

SUMMERSIDE – Darcie Augustine had a perfect night in goal on Thursday.
Augustine recorded the shutout as the Western Wind topped the Kings County Kings 4-0 in a P.E.I. Midget AAA Female Hockey League game at Credit Union Place.
Taylor Gillis and Gracyn Handrahan each had a goal and an assist to pace Western’s offence. Josee Gallant and Erin Arsenault-Gallant each added single goals, with assists credited to Hilarie Gaudet and Tianna Gallant.
The Wind held period leads of 2-0 and 3-0.
The teams will meet in a rematch in Montague on Saturday afternoon.
