Tignish sends junior C final to a seventh game

Chase McHugh had three assists and four other players each put up two points as the Tignish Aces evened its best-of-seven P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League final 3-3.

Dawson Sellick had a pair of goals, including the winner, Brayden Handrahan and Brett Ramsay each had a goal and an assist while Will Tuplin chipped in with a pair of assists to aid Tignish’s cause.

Aces goaltender Bradley Shea allowed one goal on 23 shots to pick up the win.

Shawn Corney picked up the lone Sherwood goal with assists going to Brad Jenkins and Logan Toole.

Sherwood goalie James Duffy allowed five goals on 30 shots.

The Aces were two-for-six with the man advantage while the Metros failed to score in seven opportunities.

The deciding game in the series goes Thursday at Cody Banks Arena in Charlottetown at 8:20 p.m.
