Soccer tournament in
Summerside this weekend

SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside United Soccer Club is hosting an under-13 and under-11 soccer tournament this weekend.
Play begins on Friday afternoon, and continues through until the medal games on Sunday.
Games will be played at Eric Johnston Field, the Credit Union Place grass pitch and at Three Oaks Senior High School.
Divisions will include both boys and girls at the under-13 Premier and First Division levels. Under-11 play will also feature both boys and girls.

United under-18 girls

outscore Hillsborough
SUMMERSIDE –
There was no lack of scoring in a Subway P.E.I. Under-18 Girls Soccer League game at Three Oaks Senior High School recently.
The Summerside United defeated Hillsborough United 5-2.
Abby Christopher (2), Hilarie Gaudet, Heidi Lauwerijssen and Rebecca Proctor provided goals for Summerside. Mia Fradsham and Madi Fisher replied for Hillsborough.
Summerside took a 2-1 advantage into halftime.

Capital District
trims Mid-Isle
CORNWALL –
Luke Coughlin connected for a double and triple to lead Capital District to a 12-3 win over Mid-Isle in a P.E.I. Peewee AAA Baseball League game recently.
Coughlin finished with a 2-for-3 batting summary, and Jack Burke earned the pitching win.
Christian Irwin, who was the pitcher of record for Mid-Isle, also went 2-for-3.

Howatt, Dawson pace
Bedeque past Kensington
KENSINGTON –
Ryder Howatt and Beau Dawson each went 3-for-3 to pace the visiting Bedeque Blue Jackets to a 13-0 victory over the Kensington Crusaders in a P.E.I. Peewee AA Baseball League game recently.
Ryder’s summary included a triple while Dawson had a double. Jackson Rogers (2-2, walk) also had a perfect night at the plate for Bedeque.
Pierce Saunders (1-1) and Skyler Andrew (1-2) were tops at the plate for Kensington.
Winning pitcher was Tyson McCardle. Zac Noye was Kensington’s pitcher.
